# Gimbal Mounting and Balancing#2

**Step 3: BALANCING CAMERA** &#x20;

**Tilt axis Vertical balance** Rotate the tilt axis so that the lens is pointing downward. Loosen the vertical adjustment thumbscrew, gently slide the camera mount crossbar forward and backward until the camera remains pointing downward when released. Then tighten the thumbscrew.

Put the camera on the tilt cage. Then use four M2.5 x 6 screws to secure the camera.

**Tilt axis Front – Back balance** Loosen the Front-Back adjustment thumbscrew. Gently slide the camera forward or backward until the tilt axis remains level. Then tighten the thumbscrew to lock the camera in position.
